Mommy’s right.
This is your regular reminder that executive orders are not royal decrees. Because America has no king.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

Republicans want to restrict access to the ballot and eliminate online and mail-in voter registration. Tell your senators to reject the GOP’s voter suppression bill (especially if your senator is listed here):

You have to see this.

PoliticsGirl and her husband teamed up with the brilliant Timothy Snyder (author of On Tyranny) and the legendary John Lithgow to create something truly powerful. It’s important, it’s urgent—and it needs to be shared far and wide.

Today, Rep. Dan Goldman and I re-introduced the Abortion Care Awareness Act of 2025. This bill directs HHS to launch a national education campaign so people know their rights, understand their options, and can access accurate info about abortion care.

A reminder that Bill Maher has long been an antivaxxer and AIDS denier and helped mainstream the “do your own research” culture now dismantling public health.

He is also a good friend of RFK Jr.

It’s time for the media to stop giving him a platform.

You are not entitled to your own facts.
Why Is CNN Platforming Notorious Anti-Vaxxer Bill Maher?
In a desperate play for relevance, the flailing cable news network gave the neo-luddite comic a primetime slot. That’s a mistake for “the most trusted name in news.”

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

I saw Desilu in the Paramount studio store - then borrowed it from the LA Public Library.

At the heart of my hyper-fixation is a lifelong fascination of Lucy.

I walk around the places she tread and I imagine her strolling arm-in-arm with Vivian Vance between towering sound stages.

I accidentally made the most awesome playlist by thinking of songs I heard at the orthodontist office between 1993-‘94.

I listen to Idina Menzel’s “Defying Gravity” Live at the Symphony recording because it ends with 1:15 of thunderous applause.

🚿 It’s the perfect shower performance piece to practice accepting standing ovations with grace.

Among the iconic structures around Los Angeles that give me goosebumps are the studio water towers.

They give me the impression of sprawling, gated small towns where our imaginary friends live, work, and play.

I was calm on the set of Wheel of Fortune (S42:E133) because I had watched Taylor Tomlinson at work on the set of After Midnight.

Whether I am on camera or in the studio audience, I adore being a part of the television-making process. I love being on the lot. 🎥
