A juvenile Bald Eagle is not so "bald". The young have a brown head and eyes, unlike the white head and golden yellow eyes of the adult. The outstretched wings are cropped in this photo to give a better view of the head, feet and feathers.

Two curious raccoons look at me along the St. Vrain Greenway in Longmont, Colorado. Out of habit I always look at holes in trees while walking. I knew something lived there or used it for shelter!
