I think if I had never picked up Guild Wars 2, I would never have left my toxic marriage, met my now partner of 9 and a half years, met my best friend, moved States, found XIV, and gotten back into writing.

In lieu of an answer, B'alith closed the remaining distance between them and dipped his head to kiss her. Koharu was as skilled a kisser as she was a talker. Her tongue was indeed forked, he discovered, a subtle split an ilm or so long at most and devastatingly flexible at that; she took her time acquainting herself with his mouth, full lips molding to his and coaxing a hungry moan from him in return. Koharu was half a head shorter, but she clearly knew how to use the difference to her advantage. She wrapped her fingers around a handful of his shirt and pulled him with her as she walked them both back toward the futon set up behind a translucent rice paper screen that sectioned part of the room off as a sleeping space. "Your tongue does indeed seem to be more textured than others I have kissed," she said when they came up for air again, "and deliciously warm, at that." She shrugged out of her blouse as B'alith undid the last fastening, letting it slither to the ground where it was quickly joined by her trousers. So #XIVWrites is (deservedly!) on hiatus this year, and I am instead using September to work on my... very extensive... backlog of stuff, alternating between finishing older and working ahead on Brilliant Conviction.

I won't share everything, but i do want to post some snippets and drafts :) 🧵

re FFXIV Write going on hiatus this year (congrats to Moen and Baby Moen!): I think I’m gonna designate the month of September as “Finish It Fall”, where I revisit previous year’s fills and/or work on WIPs that’ve been languishing.

Anyone else wanna join me for this? :D
