Yes, the war in Gaza is a genocide.

I hope you’ll take a moment to read my op-ed here:
It Is Genocide » Senator Bernie Sanders
Hamas, a terrorist organization, began this war with its brutal attack on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,200 innocent people and took 250 hostages. Israel, as any other country, had a right to defend...

Measles is another good example of deep, poorly thought out funding cuts to health agency staff, led by an unqualified, incompetent nominee.

This is the health version/parallel of what’s happening with the current climate disaster happening in Texas and other states…

None of this is acceptable!

Austria: very well deserved winner. It would have been a complete scandal that Israel would have won due to a popular vote which is really difficult to rely on. Israel Govt has probably intervened with the sophisticated technologies that they have.

Israel has got so many popular votes that I don't trust it at all. Same last year. Israel has great techs to intervene in phone calls voting, apps, etc. And I'm not a person who believes much in conspiracy theories, but this is simply unbelievable and unacceptable.

Huge thanks to the advisor who suggested I put “island of strangers” in my speech. Now Reform voters still hate me and Labour voters hate me even more.

Keir Starmer’s “island of strangers” rhetoric is reckless and divisive.

In Wales, as across the UK, social care is in crisis. The solution is not to turn on migrant workers, but to invest in training, raise wages, and improve working conditions.

The government's announcement this morning was an insult to those who have made the UK their home.

These migrants are not "strangers", they are our friends, neighbours, and family members.

It is shameful that they are being scapegoated in this way.

Anti-immigration policies stoke division and harm people, our public services and economy, while doing nothing to address the real problems caused by austerity.

Let’s offer solutions not scapegoating.

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees.

They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires.

If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.

I’ve said it before and will say it again, chasing the tail of the right risks taking our country down a very dark path.

Fair & sensible checks on immigration should not equal blaming all the woes of our country on immigrants, rather than the failures of those in power for the last 14 years.

I am proud of what immigrants like my mum and those across Luton North have given to our country. Many serve in our NHS, open biz, enrich culture/arts & much more.

The best way to avoid becoming an ‘island of strangers’ is investing in communities to thrive - not pitting people against each other.

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening.

That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk.

Shame on you, Keir Starmer.
