Theories I’ve seen for why Musk etc are cutting federal jobs so randomly & irresponsibly are mostly (a) to replace jobs with AI, (b) to force privatization by breaking everything, or (c) sheer ignorance/incompetence. I suspect a mix of all 3, but the disregard for lives in the meantime is sickening.

Deeply creepy move on the part of Meta. The vibes are horrible. Like something out of a horror movie, and especially with a side of actual POC, or queer folks, or queer POC getting replaced by bots that are presumably supposed to puppet identities in stereotyped/stereotyping or superficial way.
