I'm really not on social media much anymore.

But we went to the Frederick #NoKings event. Maybe a thousand there?

Glad to have gone.

No matter how many people they fire, personnel payroll is such a small percentage of government spending it will never help.

But without workers it will be much easier to commit fraud which is their real intention.

Major news! A court in Montana has just declared SB458, a bill that "defines sex" in a way that ends the legal recognition of transgender people in Montana, as facially unconstitutional.

This is the first time a bill defining sex has been ruled on!

Huge win for trans people in MT!

Colonoscopy done, thank goodness. Rough night, my body just aches.

Spending my morning starting to get off Amazon subscribe and save. Trying to buy off the same suppliers directly if possible. It will probably take a few months but I'm determined.

Insomnia has been my constant companion these last three nights since I had to stop taking almost everything in prep for a colonoscopy next week.

I think I've gotten an average of 3 hours of broken-up sleep each night.

I'm excited to announce my 8th story has been posted today, and I'd love some feedback on it. 🧵

Dark Brandon was really fun to write. It's the beginning of the true split of the alternate universe from our own.

If you have a family member in a nursing home?

You may want to clean out your guest room...

If Medicaid goes, so does the nursing home industry.

I really really need you guys to make a conscious rejection of generative AI tools part of your ongoing political resistance.

Don't use ChatGPT. Turn off Gemini. Don't read the AI results forced upon you at the top of Google search. Don't use AI art generators or support anyone who does. Please.
Oh please please i am begging, don't use generative AI for any reason if you can avoid it.

It's being marketed as a quick time-saver, but it's messy, inaccurate, it is putting entire industries of people out of work, and the environmental impacts (energy and water usage) are huge and debilitating.

Sharing a success.

This past year I've been dealing with tendon cramping, which seems to affect biological women mostly.

It's terrible, like muscle cramping except it's harder to release; usually it's in my lower legs, but I've had it in my arms too.

Had a prelim call for a colonoscopy yesterday. Today I'll get lab work done. Please tell me the prep isn't as bad as it seems.

They asked if I'd ever had issues being sedated. I've never been. It's a first and I'll admit I'm nervous

Worth remembering that Bush put the detention center at Guantanamo specifically because it's a jurisdictional no-man's-land.

Because it's controlled by the US, but Cuban territory, the Bush admin argued that neither the constitution nor the Geneva Conventions apply to American actions there.
