I will never get tired of pushing and merging code and watching the CI pipelines do magic to test and deploy code.

Scripting automation is such a joy.

No matter how many people they fire, personnel payroll is such a small percentage of government spending it will never help.

But without workers it will be much easier to commit fraud which is their real intention.

Google removed the ability to report the incorrectly named geographic feature on their map.

The discovery that cows in Nevada have become infected with a new strain of avian flu is a public health red flag we cannot afford to ignore. This virus is mutating in alarming and innovative ways, and the silence from federal agencies and leadership is deafening.

Elon had to pay $44B to buy and destroy twitter. He bought the entire U.S. government for the bargain price of $277M.

Destroying twitter was the practice run for what’s happening now.

I am starting to think DJT actually believes tariffs are a tax on foreign countries. Originally I thought he was lying or misleading people. But now I think we are just seeing another example of how disconnected from reality he really is.

I think they just promoted Tab soda on a Coke commercial about AI.

This is why I don’t watch TV.

Spending a weekend upgrading infrastructure and libraries for a SaaS product I am building is not a thing most of my friends understand.

All the bullshit of work but with no benefits other than I know I did the right thing.

Upgraded all the AWS infrastructure and CDK libraries for VinoSeeker.com

I wrote my first langchain app in JavaScript tonight. I used both web and pdf content to create a vector store and ran queries on that data using deepseek-r1 running locally on ollama.

That’s the nerdiest thing I’ve said in years.

Mostly I drink black coffee. When I “dress it up” I love a little half and half with cinnamon.

On a whim, today I hit it with a little cayenne pepper.

That was a surprisingly tasty treat.

It looks so weird to write the word “having” in English. I write it in SQL sometimes. But not usually in actual writing.

I like the word having. I “have” so much. They say happiness is not having what you want. It’s wanting what you have.

I feel very “having” today.
