On this day in 1918, the First World War came to an end. Across Canada, people celebrated in the streets. Over 600,000 Canadians enlisted, with 60,000 killed and 172,000 wounded.

Decoration Day, Armistice Day and Remembrance Day have all been days to honour Canada's veterans.
For a time, our day of remembrance fell on the same day as Thanksgiving.
But Remembrance Day as we know it has been celebrated 1931.

Another shroom doodle, this one inspired by fool's mushroom.

Did a doodle yesterday inspired by a stinkhorn mushroom image on Wikipedia.

Went on a cooking spree: Chili with tofu, kidney & romano beans, crimini mushrooms, carrots, green pepper, onions, corn, diced tomatoes, coconut milk, beef broth, & spices; Cauliflower soup with fennel, crimini, potatoes, carrots, cheddar, chicken broth, cream of cauliflower, & spices. 🍲

My hairdresser never fails to work magic 💙🩷 feels great to have my roots and undercut touched up too 🥰 I think it's my new favorite look!
