If people in New York can’t afford food, that’s a market failure created by grocery giants & public officials are right to try to offer a public option to address it.

The path for Democrats is very clear: have good ideas, believe in them, state them clearly, stick to them, act decisively in support of these ideas, speak to the young half of the electorate, support other democrats who do these things. Follow Mamdani and Lander's example or fade into nothingness.

Any semblance of Western credibility or overweight is gone. Not just Trump and Biden - not just the US. Trudeau and Carney in Canada, Sunak and Starmer in the UK, Macron in France, Merz in Germany - they all steered to this outcome through malice, stupidity, or a lack of spine. It's gone.
