There is nothing more humbling as a filmmaker than conceptualizing a shot, planning it out, getting to set and setting it up, saying action... and the shot completely not working at all. Like, it looks truly awful, just doesn't work. Big old fail. Alas, such is life.

Just rewatched Guardians Vol 3 for the first time since the theater, and damn this film really does hit home in every way. The reactions of all of them when rocket is alive, especially Nebula, truly some beautiful writing and acting.

Happy to say I was very wrong in my predictions. #Wicked is wonderful, and the runtime flies by. Never been so happy to have been proven wrong. (Also, Ariana is great as Galinda. She really makes the character her own, not just doing a Kristin Chenoweth impression, which I appreciated.)

Does anyone else ever think about how legitimately wild it is that the canceling of #theacolyte is the first time Lucasfilm has ever just, straight up, left a story unfinished? Like, we have an incredibly fleshed out Star Wars universe... except for this one part. It's so weird to think about.

An elderly woman I know complained to me today that a certain new movie in theatres is probably bad because it has too much CGI. And the amount of willpower it took to not start screaming about the state of film coverage in the media, and specifically, #VFX coverage, was immense.

Okay, if this is where Star Wars is heading, I am 100% in. #Skeletoncrew is amazing! Besides looking delightfully contrasty and beautiful, it has a legitimate style and passion behind it. It's bursting with joy you can feel from the creatives behind it. So excited to see where this goes.

I saw someone say that part of the reason this teaser works so well is that it's only Score and Dialogue, and I think that really speaks to the skill that Cruise and the creative team have on these films. They know it's about the Feeling of it all.
