Democracy dies in darkness
it's an open secret that the washington post editorial board has been sleeping with the epstein files for years.

Jamal Khashoggi was an outstanding journalist. What's happening in the Oval Office is a desecration of American values, and no amount of gold-spray-painted plastic shit nailed to the walls can obscure that. #Impeach

What a ludicrous little man.
Ron Johnson: "The people under the Obama and Biden administrations, I view most of those individuals involved in these high-profile cases as criminals. What they did to this country, the interference in our election, the false flag operations they put up -- it makes Watergate pale in comparison."

The word "but" doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Maybe sit this one out, Jimbo.

What he's actually saying is that he is ok with any administration weaponizing the DOJ.
Sen. John Barrasso on Epstein: "I believe that had there been something here that the Biden administration could've used to go after President Trump, they would've gone after him." (Sounds like a great argument for releasing the files!)

Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.

One reason you hold a meeting to pressure/cajole/threaten Boebert in the Situation Room is so she can't record it.

An important side note about today's Epstein/Trump revelations.

They show that Todd Blanche's questioning of Maxwell was either (a) completely incompetent; or (b) intentionally crafted not to elicit facts incriminating Trump.

Either way, he is not fit to serve as Deputy Attorney General.

I saw this coming.
The American penny died on Wednesday in Philadelphia. It was 232. The cause was irrelevance and expensiveness, the Treasury Department said. Nothing could be bought any more with a penny, as the cost to mint the penny had risen to more than 3 cents. nyti.ms/48bFd5K

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Functionally, this is a Reverse Enabling Act. A total failure of Article I of the Constitution. The most unprecedented such crisis in 🇺🇸 history, while a president murders people freely on the high seas, bulldozes the White House, & monetizes the presidency in plain sight. A "Republic" or something.
My god, WHAT is in those Epstein files that has him so terrified of swearing in Vote Number 218?

“I will not bring the House back to session until the Congress negotiates a budget that it needs to pass” is pretty much a pure pi-r-squared circle.
Mike Johnson says he will not bring the House back in session until the government reopens

This is what racism sounds like.
ROB SCHMITT: People are using SNAP benefits to get their nails done, to get their weaves and their hair. This is a really ugly program.

SEN. RON JOHNSON: That program needs to be dramatically reformed.
