After Republicans refused to extend ACA subsidies, 4 Michigan insurers are dropping out of the ACA marketplace altogether. That’s 200,000 Michiganders who just lost their plans.

Medicare cuts January 1st. Between the Medicaid cuts and the expiring ACA subsidies, it has slid beneath the radar. This will haunt them and it should. I had written off the senate, but its definitely in play now.

All of the people affected are disabled, which drives home something the disablity community has been talking about it: With cuts to Medicaid programs that enable independent living, the risk is not necessarily that disabled people will end up in institutions, it's that they'll be on the street.
