I don’t like starting this week by learning there’s a Woody Allen subreddit.

To help learn Godot, I've grabbed tilesets from Faxanadu, Castlevania and more to build a little fantasy town. It's not much, but I'm having fun working with gdscript, parallax, particle systems, lighting...

This looks incredible, can't wait to play it.
I'm going to ask you a favor. 🤗

As you know, these are tough times for the video game industry. So it's important to show your support for the studios that create the games you love. It would be great if some of you could share my thread (below) dedicated to Caravan SandWitch. 🙏

My favorite James Earl Jones roll will always be James Greer. He was the heart of those films; he genuinely cared about Jack Ryan and his family -- JEJ could communicate that love just through a glance. RIP, Admiral.

i gotta say, as a guy married to a teacher, i’m kind of thrilled to see this teacher representation on the national stage

I've seen enough: This is the beginning of the end for the generative AI boom.

18 months in, results for enterprise AI are underwhelming. Demand for AI consumer products is low. Gen AI is derided, protested and resisted. Its cultural moment has peaked.

This is the beginning of the end of the generative AI boom
Nvidia is shedding value, OpenAI is sputtering, dubious generative AI ads are flooding the market, and signs point to a deflating tech bubble. The great degeneration begins.

Two point six TRILLION dollar valuation drop for "AI" companies. All because these people refuse to reckon with what their systems are actually good at, and what they are absolutely no good for, and keep trying to shove it into every damn thing, regardless.

The Pirates trilogy makes me yearn for more blockbuster weirdness a la Verbinski. Let goofball directors cook.

Plus I can’t separate these movies from the late 2000s-era Labyrinth of Jareth masquerades. Utter madness!
I did NOT like this movie when I saw it in theaters, and most of my issues with it still stand, BUT the subsequent nearly 20 years of blockbusters have made the good stuff work much more for me.

After close examination, I declare this the best interview. RIP king.
In honor of the late Scott Wampler, this was my favourite piece of his where he interviewed Rian Johnson but only wanted to ask the questions he didn’t get a chance to ask Rob Zombie.

Rest in peace, king.
