One of these days I need to put together a collage of moths on a white background. There are so many handsome ones.

Scaly-legged Pyralids (Subfamily Chrysauginae), Tiger Moth (Loxophlebia sp.), ???, Geometer Moth (Opisthoxia sp.)
Tatama National Park, Colombia
A triangular shaped moth with yellowish green wing and a dark colored snoot. A moth that looks like a stinging insect with clear wings outlined in dark brown, and a yellow body with black at the end of the abdomen. A green moth with brown patterns on its wings. A fancy brown moth with orange outlining the hind wings and three eyes spots on each hind wing.

How about some blue spiders? Here is a Brazilian jewel tarantula (Typhochlaena seladonia). This species is now iconic so if you are not familiar with it... you're welcome. A very small tarantula that lives in a makeshift tent on tree bark in the Brazilian Atlantic rainforest.

Grabby-face Pancake (2022) was very, very large.
I had only seen newly-hatched owlfly bebbies beforehand, so this absolute unit knocking on the door of adulthood who turned up in some leaf litter gave me a good surprise. I fed this one a roach snack and released. 🤎

Giant flat owlfly baby next to a ruler, showing the creature to be about 2cm in length. They're sort of a pinkish pale green, with little tubercules making a fringe around the roughly football-shaped abdomen. Mandibles are large and curved and sharp.
