So a little about me and my random ideas. I've been gaming since the mid 80s. Mostly as a forever GM. My fav settings are Sci-fi mostly but I also done massive amount of fantasy and some horror. My GM style is a 50/50 mix of planed and off the cuff. My stance is we gane to have fun and tell a story
Random #TTRPG idea: Many RPGs focus on the trinity of Tanky guy, Heally kid, and the dude that unlocks shit. But don't be afraid to ignore that. If your running a game that does this you can get around it two ways. 1) Just write your campaign to not need these. give the players items to cover any->

Random #TTRPG idea: Chimera a fantasy setting where the main shtick is heroes that can swap body parts with monsters. Classes would be built around preferred monster types. You would have a level based limit to how much your body can take. Go out monster hunting to upgrade your character

GM Tip: Always have at least one NPC ready who can provide an unexpected option—an escape, an alliance, a betrayal—so players never feel railroaded.

Random #TTRPG idea: Aliens(tm) campaign but instead of the normal deal of xenomorphs its all about a serial killer synth that is using the rumors of xeno sightings to cover their tracks

Random #TTRPG idea: Everyone got superpowers. And I mean everyone but the powers you get are random and using your powers is exhausting based on how strong they are. Worst is there is a tiny chance the power can backfire injuring or killing the user.

Random #TTRPG idea: The Coldfire trilogy by CS Friedman en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coldfir... was one of the few times I read a book and immediately had to go buy the rest of the set. But I still think it is a really good setting for a rpg. It's one of the magic as an ecosystem that is very interesting

Random #ttrpg idea: sci-fi setting where humanity has spread across the galaxy but no intelligent life was found. However with distance and time humanity has evolved into subspecies some very alien. Then the ftl gate system suffers a failure that destroys or disabled all of them -->

Random #TTRPG idea: Psionics in TTRPGs. So you want to add spooky mind powers to your game. Well There is a few ways to do this lets go over some of the ways current settings/systems deal with psionics. The first and most simplest way is treating it as magic but with your mind. Not a my favorite ->

Random #TTRPG idea: the group is a local band. Between gigs they do side jobs of questionable legality

Random #TTRPG idea: The group are merchants that run a trade route through a part of the map that is dangerous. The campaign would be semi-hex crawl as they travel between cities with their wares running into encounters along the way.

Random #TTRPG idea: Heaven and Hell closed. God and Satan have cast everything out and slammed close the gates. With nowhere to go angels and demons have possessed humans and try to understand why they have been exiled some fighting among themselves blaming each other

Random #TTRPG idea: The Lost City of Atlanta. Research into wormhole tech by a think tank in Atlanta had a breakthrough creating working wormholes. But an accident trying to scale it up has transported the city and part of the surrounding area into a void. Now the survivors need to find a way home

It’s #TabletopTuesday and I got to play in a one-shot of Mausritter and it’s the cutest deadliest game I’ve played in a long, long while. Definitely recommended (especially as a one-shot.)

Yes, I said cute and deadly. #TTRPGs #TTRPG #Gaming #Mausritter

While I've not messed with the newer releases of #TTRPG Delta Green I have a lot of fond memories of playing and running the game. It's like an aggressive X-Files if Mulder was an ex-seal and had to go to therapy every couple of episodes.
Straight talk #TTRPG creators: #Patreon was once an ideal spot. It is now a convoluted, pre-sale-to-vulture-captial mess. When it's not randomly changing policies that cut my audience to ribbons, it's adding idiotic process heavy pop-ups that do nothing.

Use Ghostio instead. Here's ours:

Random BAD #TTRPG idea: A set of blank dice that use magnets and a dice tray with sensors. Rolling the dice in the tray would then use some electronics to read the faces and have some sort of display to show the results plus some sounds. The system can be programmed to have custom dice.

GM Tip: Take note of what catches the players' interest and reincorporate those details in future sessions. A minor NPC who caught players' eye shows up again. A consequence of some earlier action, good or bad, becomes relevant. This helps engage the players and promotes buy-in.

Random #TTRPG idea: If you had to make a whole setting and campaign but you had to base it off of just album cover art of one band who would you use. I think I'd go with Asia they have some really cool covers

Random #TTRPG idea: Zombie apocalypse but the twist is the virus actually makes humanity better. It's just the early stages that are bad. But after that the whole zombie phase clears up into a new human that is just objectively better
