legal standards are not necessarily aligned with moral or extralegal evidentiary standards. this is something that I would assume a bunch of people who think they're leftists shouldn't have to be told

the dumbest people in the world, most of whom will be reactionaries by age 60, are interpreting this to mean i think we shouldn't grant the guy his rights. of course we should! that's how you could possibly "screw up the case"!
