I am a 40yr old trans man, love to do yarn crafts, games of all sorts (video, board, tabletop, etc), doting pup dad, disabled and chronically ill, ambulatory wheelchair user, AuDHD, love Star Trek and scifi, huge nerd, love to learn new things.

A friend connected me with a group that is making anti-ICE kits and needed someone to 3D print ICE whistles. This is my second batch
The first batch had about 600. I have 300 in this one, printing more as we speak.

Seamed the first square of the blanket I'm working on. (It has been blocked, I just didn't lay it out straight.) I love how this is turning out.

Out on the patio knitting before it gets hot for the day and my pain levels get too high.

I'm seeing a few slip-ups by cis people who want to support trans people but aren't quite sure about some of the language. So here are some things I've picked up.

Trans folk may get to break some of these rules in ways that we don't. They get to use sarcasm about it all differently.

I've been EXTREMELY uncomfortable with how trans women being forced to use the men's room is (rightfully) portrayed as a tragedy... while trans men being forced into the women's is played as a comedy. "Haha, you want THIS guy to use the ladies room?" As if that guy isn't in major danger.
Stop saying "Will trans men be welcomed into women's spaces?" as some kind of rhetorical gotcha, as though trans men have not been beaten and KILLED after being FORCED into women's spaces.

Your ignorance of trans men's oppression due to their invisiblisation does NOT a clever comeback make.

I know you don’t like hearing it, because it reminds you of our collective and your personal fragility, but them’s the stakes. There is no perfect victim of disease or disability.

You cannot win with eugenicists unless you’re one of theirs. Don’t try playing their game. It doesn’t end well.

Printed this shorter version of my divided yarn bowl. I love it so much.

I've 3D printed 3 regular, but very large yarn bowls (2 for me, one for a friend) over the last several months. I originally wanted a giant yarn bowl because I was working on a tree skirt and wanted a bowl I could fit the project into. Each bowl is 250mm across (almost 10")

Dear friends,
I have a friend who is a 24/7 oxygen user. They have been currently using half their prescribed flow rate while out of the house due to having to use oxygen tanks and needing to not run out while out and about.

I'm a transgender man with a very rare disease called Dercum's Disease. It causes wildly painful (non-cancerous) tumors to grow throughout the body. Due to them starting to grow throughout my legs, arms, and abdomen, I had to switch from subq injections to androgel.

Hey, while we're talking about erasing history:

In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun."

The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen.

So they refused to announce a winner🤡

I've been using a colander as a fruit bowl, but I'd like to be able to use is as a colander. Also, I wanted something more decorative for the counter than just a plastic colander.

I so I 3D printed this fruit bowl.
I made it big because at times I have a lot of fruit.

I just finished my mystery knit along scarf, published and run by Nomadic Knits. I love how it came out.

I just want to clarify something. "Being trans" does not require you to transition. Yes, that is the goal for a lot of transgender individuals, and was a goal for myself too. But there are a lot of reasons why someone who is trans either may not want to or may be unable to transition.

Day one of my yarn advent calendar!

Most of this year, I knit this tree skirt and now it's under the tree! I probably should block it but I was too excited to get it set up. I love how it came out.

I've made 3 stockings already this year, but forgot to make *mine*, haha. So now I'm last minute making a stocking so we can hang my roommate's and my stockings.

Hey, everyone. I'm new here. (Signed up like a year ago and then never touched it.) However, as FB continues to get worse, I thought I'd come check it out over here. I'll make an intro post here in a moment, but just wanted to say hi!
