I want to dispel a very commonly-held assumption: none of these companies had a plan with generative AI. They threw cash at it because it looked like it might be profitable, and have thrown more cash as it became less profitable because none of them have any other ideas, or plan of any kind.
What ive never understood is what is the end product here? Nobody is paying for this outside of weird computer guys

Americans perspective on Healthcare and insurance is so insanly skewed. Most don't even go to the doctor even when they should.
I cannot believe we're doing this again. I never said you, personally, must like your insurance. I simply said that MOST people DO like their insurance, as far as anyone collecting data on the question can tell.

If you want to pursue reform, that's actually an incredibly important fact!

Bluesky uses AI internally to assist in content moderation, which helps us triage posts and shield human moderators from harmful content. We also use AI in the Discover algorithmic feed to serve you posts that we think you’d like.

None of these are Gen AI systems trained on user content.

I don't understand people who think that America is the only place where people from humble beginnings rise to height of power. I mean, I'm not inspired by the fact that Saddam Hussein was born super-poor to a single mother.

One clear lesson from the election: Instead of challenging aggressive far-right policy, Dems should roll over onto their backs and expose their widdle soft tummies and say "ooooh I'm so sowwy" as they get stomped and spit on by Republicans. I make 200,000 dollars a year by the way

it does feel like too many people are ready to admit defeat, in the long term political sense, and that is so disappointing to see

MSNBC recently acquired Errol Morris’s documentary “Separated,” a likely Oscar contender examining the Trump administration’s family separation policy, but it won’t air until a month after — in part because NBC bosses don’t want to offend Trump, Oliver Darcy reported Monday.
