ICE has shot a mother in the face, put a 16-year-old in a chokehold, and permanently blinded at least two protestors — and that’s just some of what we know.

And now this. Despicable.

Pres. can invoke the Insurrection Act

-- at the request of a governor (as Bush Sr. did at the request of Gov. Wilson in 1992 for Rodney King riots in LA)

-- to enforce federal court orders (Eisenhower and Kennedy: desegregation orders)

Walz won't request, and courts won't order

there are only about 20,000 ICE agents in the country and most of them can't fight, aim, or handle light criticism without crashing out. there are hundreds of millions of us. those odds are in our favor if we keep fighting.

For all his talk about cracking down on fraud, Trump is perfectly happy to let his allies and supporters get away with it.

The hypocrisy isn’t surprising, but it’s no less staggering.

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

Trump is threatening wars with NATO and Venezuela for the same reason he’s at war with the American people: fascism must always be on the march.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. The public deserves full transparency about every ICE agent, including their identities, backgrounds, and training. Recent events suggest these agents lack even the basic professional standards expected of law-enforcement officers. Who are these amateurs terrorizing our streets?
