After a short rain delay, the skies cleared and we were off to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walcott Day with a great parade! A little rain never stood a chance against 50 years of tradition. @scottcountydems.org

Had a great day in Ankeny—joined the @ankenyareadems.bsky.social for the Summerfest parade, then spoke at their summer BBQ with an amazing crowd and some other fantastic candidates!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Day to my grandmother, mother, aunt, cousins, sisters, friends, the amazing teachers I had growing up in Bettendorf - and to all the hardworking educators shaping the next generation. Thank you for what you do.

*Of course* advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this.

The Secretary is unfit to lead.

Appalling. This is a stain on our national conscience. It’s downright evil. No one should stand for this. It is in blatant defiance of the principles of our Constitution. Our elected officials must act. To stay silent, to not act, is to betray their oath, & more importantly, it betrays human decency

Yep. This is serious. Loyalty in the military is to the Constitution—not to any one man or woman.

We should all be paying attention.
I cannot stress how bad this is for our military. 4-star general is fired for not being “loyal” to Trump.

America, our military is loyal to the Constitution! (not one man or one political party). We are in deep trouble if this continues.

Great piece by Ed Tibbetts on today’s rally
I haven't seen this kind of enthusiasm in a non-election year rally in a long time. The Hands Off rally in Davenport was a memorable event.

Well over 1,000 people at the Hands Off rally in Davenport, counting those at an adjacent park, where the speakers were.

Proud to stand alongside so many in Davenport today at the Hands Off protest.

We showed up because we believe in protecting our rights, our freedoms, and our future.

Miller-Meeks celebrates Iowa nurses while backing policies that make their jobs harder. Our district deserves better. Maybe she’d know that if she actually lived in IA-1.

This should be something both parties can rally around—supporting farmers, small businesses, and the right to fix what you own.
This is why I’ve proposed a Right to Repair bill but I can’t get a Republican to work with me on it!!!

Congress gave away too much power on trade—and now a reckless administration is using it in ways that hurt American families, farmers, and small businesses. Tariff authority was meant for emergencies, not economic sabotage. It’s time to take that power back.

Five years ago today Mitt Romney announced that he would vote to convict President Trump in his first Senate impeachment trial.

I've watched a lot of Senate speeches in my time, and this was one of the best. Worth taking a few minutes to read it or watch it.
