Over the past few months I’ve been traveling all across the state visiting with Iowans. But if I haven’t met you yet, here’s my story—and why I stepped up to run for Secretary of State

This issue goes to the heart of something larger than the office I’m running for. As a former Navy Helicopter pilot, I feel obligated to condemn these attacks against Senator Mark Kelly and his colleagues.

I’m so happy I could help out at the Iowa Democratic Party’s food drive this weekend. Our campaign is about so much more than any one person. It’s about coming together to help our neighbors and serve our communities.

As military ballots from last week's election can continue to be counted today, this court case suddenly puts them in jeopardy for next year's election. We must do everything we can to make sure our voices are heard.

Incredible turnout in Davenport for the No Kings rally. There were thousands from across the Quad Cities showing up, speaking out, and standing up for our rights. The movement for change doesn’t stop here. We’ll carry it to the ballot box.

During my time in the Navy I saw what good leadership looks like—and we need much better leadership over in Des Moines right now. As Secretary of State I’ll bring those lessons in leadership with me to work every single day.
