Spent some time building the ultimate college football starter pack (in spreadsheet to avoid 150 limit).

Everyone is organized by conference and school.

Now I need your help sharing this and filling in the blanks. Let me know who I need to add!

Following up on this with Arch Manning's stats vs UGA

🤢Traditional: 12-24, 117 yds, (4.9 yds/att), INT, 2 sacks, 50% pressure rate

🙂Quick: 14-18, 119 yds, (6.6 yds/att), TD, 1 sack, 16% pressure rate

Arch cannot process from the pocket at this stage of his career. But Sark keeps forcing it.
Arch Manning's success in the passing game will depend heavily on Sark's play calling.

If Texas opened its season with Illinois State instead of Ohio State, they would be ranked in the top 10 and ahead of Oklahoma.

A couple quick thoughts on Shedeur Sanders debut…

He looked exactly like he did at Colorado. Some impressive escapability mixed with terrible sacks. Nothing surprising..

The AD said three days ago that they'd make a call at the end of the year. The only thing that's happened since then is getting crushed at Illinois as fans stop paying attention. So things must be going great financially
BREAKING NEWS: Maryland will keep Michael Locksley as its football coach in 2026, Athletic Director Jim Smith said.

Smith is committing more NIL funding to the Terrapins program for next year. Says he believes in the foundation.

The Terps have lost six in a row and are 4-6.

You know a game was stupid when the winning team dropped three spots in S&P and fell behind the team they beat (on the road)

That was the first onside kick of Kirby Smart’s tenure, per the school’s communications team.

looks like they're gonna escape this week. But this is definitely a real trend with Lane Kiffin
Ole Miss' offense is running 74.0 plays per game, 8th most.

I don't think this is unrelated to Lane Kiffin's history of taking bad losses in November, and is something to keep in mind as they end the season with Florida and then the Egg Bowl.

Got a good laugh out of Caden Curry celebrating as if he did something on that “blocked” punt

Michigan is still in the playoff picture, but it would take some crazy upsets for them to advance to the B10 title game.

The will lose the conference opponent win % tiebreaker against everyone.

Their most realistic path is win out, while Oregon beats USC but loses to Washington.

Brent Key could have let the clock run down and kick a walk-off FG. Instead he called a time out early and he gives BC 11 seconds.

Probably won't cost them, but you never know. Just terrible game management.

LaNorris Sellers awareness is a problem. Very possibly a fatal flaw for him in the pros.

Mission accomplished. Even if they lose, they've done enough to not be punished too much
A&M better make this look somewhat competitive in the 2nd half or else they’re no longer a lock for the playoff.

Past committees have not forgiven blowout losses easily. If they were to lose today and to Texas to end up 10-2 with a horrendous blowout loss on the resume, CFP is not a guarantee.

Pitt loves to blitz, but that may not be the best strategy against C.J. Carr today.

If R Mason Thomas can't suit up for the Sooners today, it will be difficult for Oklahoma to disrupt the Alabama passing attack.

Julian Sayin has completed 73% of his passes at 20+ yards downfield this year🚀

If that were just his overall completion percentage, he would be THIRD on the Big Ten's all-time single-season list!

🤯WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HELL IS THAT STAT?!?

You'll ignore this, but every time you tweet angrily about crap like that Nuzzi piece you're confirming NYT editors' intuitions/incentivizing more of it. The entire intellectual/journo model here is, "Does this person get people angry? Yes? OK they're provocative/get talked about. Write about her."
