starting a new job after leaving an unhealthy one is soo weird. Like how do I stop my body from being in constant fight or flight mode, not get anxious at every slack ping and meeting, share stuff without wanting to hide in fear afterwards. It's not even that deep but I fear it will hold me back 😭

This is Soldier. He's a blind and deaf pup who helps host an Airbnb in Turks and Caicos. When he has guests, he leads them to his favorite beach every morning. When he doesn't have guests, he goes back to his human's house down the street for family time. 13/10

I had a few days off this week (which has been really nice) so I didn't get Sunday Scaries on Sunday, but it turns out you can get them any day of the week so now I have Wednesday Scaries 😭 I wonder if I'll ever be in a place where I don't have those lol

Hot take: Most alt text is written for SEO, not for visually impaired users. If you can't close your eyes and have someone read your alt text aloud and understand the image's purpose, you're doing it wrong. Accessibility requires empathy, not just compliance.

I made myself a HTML/CSS birthday card and used the random message API to generate a random birthday message from Ember. This message definitely feels like something Ember would say lol

I am sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Jawad. Jawad worked in a restaurant before the war and provided for his wife Fayrouz and his two sons, Mohammed and Ahmed. They have been displaced now for over a year and are living in a tent that really needs to be weatherproofed.
