In his amicus brief on release of the special counsel report, Trump argues: “As the President-Elect and soon-to-be 47th President, President Trump has an interest in a smooth transition and efficacious vesting of executive power."

And irony is dead right there.

People need to know that the FBI doesn’t make the call on Cabinet nominees. They investigate, and they say, “Here’s what we found. Here’s what troubles us.” Private vetting firms don’t have the powers the FBI has, and their loyalty is to whomever is paying them. @nbcbayarea.bsky.social

Donald Trump will never face consequences for January 6th.

The American people did their job, Merrick Garland did not.

I am enraged.

Pretty crazy someone can be charged federally with interfering in an election and those charges get dropped because they win an election.

The MAGA Republican plan in Congress is to cut Social Security and Medicare, and repeal the Affordable Care Act, so they can give tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations.

Do not let them tell you otherwise and be prepared to fight every step of the way.

We will stop them AGAIN!

This is exactly right. Trump’s big advantage is that he’s playing tic-tac-toe without a pencil but somehow convinces people he’s multiverse time-travel chess.
There’s a narrative that Gaetz was a deliberate head-fake — a distraction to boost the real candidate — but I am always suspicious of narratives that attribute four-dimensional chess to trump as opposed to knocking over the table and eating the checkers.

The biggest liars in the world posed as free speech advocates because “everyone must pay for, listen to, and agree with what we say” doesn’t poll well, and the stupidest people in the world (many of them in key positions in America’s newsrooms) fell for it.

Which is precisely why the GOP constantly seeks to control and degrade the education process.

If you keep voters dumb and afraid, they’re far easier to manipulate.
Most of our problems could be solved by properly funding public education.
