seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

🎯🎯🎯
Schumer put the nail in his own coffin and the Democratic Leadership. It's done. Just a matter of time. Ditto Centrists.

They have misread the moment and the rage of the people.

Trump and MAGA will continue playing them because they know they are weak.

Hey @schumer.senate.gov & @gbbranstetter.bsky.social if you cave on this obviously fake pinky promise from GOP that has shown absolutely zero regard for the American people then your age no better than them. Toy might as well openly kiss Trump's ass because you clearly don't care about New Yorkers!

I will support primary challenges against any safe state Dems that support this deal.

They are clearly I’ll-equipped for the moment we are in. They need to go.

The most frustrating thing about democrats is how quickly they are willing to give up instead of fight. @schumer.senate.gov is the weakest leader we have! He should resign as the minority leader and let someone with more courage take over
So after all of this, the Dems got a deal that is just a promise of a vote on ACA subsidies in December that isn't guaranteed to pass. Absolute chickenshit stuff from senate Democrats. They couldn't even get the thing they were asking for.

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

We're low on sugar so I checked Amazon. It was $30 for 500 packets. I almost bought it but decided to check Costco. I was AMAZED at the price difference. The same thing was $11 at Costco. Even w/ shipping fee it was more than 50% cheaper. This is why Lina Khan brought the FTC lawsuit against Amazon

The jury had to acquit the sandwich guy 🤣🤣🤣

First time in a very long time, Mike Johnson has heard the news.
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

If you think free buses that cost 0.6% of the city budget, rent freeze on city subsidized homes after a corrupt Adams hike, free childcare for employed people, and 5 city run grocery stores in grocery deserts is communism, you're in for a real surprise when you encounter actual communism.

Someone genuine who truly cares about the community, the people and democracy
We are strongest because we reflect the diversity of the nation.

Stop trying to engineer the “perfect” type. Start recruiting people who can actually connect with the people in front of them.

Tonight, was another reminder: there is no single mold for a Democratic winner.

Progressives won. Moderates won. Rural, suburban, urban —they all won. Black, White, Latino, AAPI — they all won. We won in the East, South, Midwest and West. Victories in races from City Council to Governor.
