Trumpism appears now to be discussed as a paradigmatic change in American politics at the same level as Reganism 40 years ago and the new deal 50 years earlier. Both parties embraced neoliberalism, trading American manufacturing jobs for cheap foreign-made goods. That fucked over workers.
