Devotee of distractions and interesting detours. Trans grandmother. It is not too late, you are not too old, and never is a very long time.
So you're bitching about how, if you embrace a position contrary to the position embraced by people who have dedicated themselves to the cause you are arguing against, then those people might criticize your position?

This thread from @jojofromjerz.bsky.social lays it out beautifully. If you voted for Trump you are unforgivable. If I happen to know you, no I don't.
Trump voters don’t like it when I call them idiots, and you’ll be surprised to learn that I don’t actually give a flying fuck if they like it or not.

Your big page-one story about schools going behind parents' backs to help kids socially transition was built around a kid who came out to his parents and was ignored! That's just bad work!
One thing I really wish I could pound into the heads of the people at the Times is that some of us are neither trans nor activist but just think their trans coverage is dogshit journalism, as journalism
Ah but when you look at the historical example of gay marriage, the moderates who said civil unions were enough were wise and the extremists who wanted marriage equality were unnecessarily aggressive, and that is why the moderates won and gay people are content with only civil unions today

We knew they would try it. What we don't know is if they'll succeed.

Odessa Texas banned trans people from washrooms matching their gender identity from all buildings open to the public. Even if privately owned.

The guy spend a chunk of his childhood in an internment camp because our government thought he might be dangerous because he was of Japanese descent. He was also gay when you were forced to hide it. It’s been much worse for a lot of people in our history. George knows what he’s talking about.

And there you have it.

Nancy Mace comes out and says, "It's offensive that a man in a skirt thinks that he's my equal"

That is what is driving them so mad. That a transgender person, duly elected to represent 1,000,000 people, could ever be her equal.

so is anybody even going to bother to go through the motions of calling for Trump to divest from his businesses this time around, or did we just give up on that one too?

To those exploring your gender identity and to all my trans siblings. Especially if you've just started transitioning or are wondering if you even should. Know we've always been here and always will be. We are part of the human condition. We cannot be eradicated.
