An absolute horrific nightmare of two AI bots caught in a loop with each other is the perfect example of the total nothingness of AI “brains”.

I see Nigel Farage is back to claiming he "predicted" the war between Russia and Ukraine in the EU Parliament, when in fact he spoke AFTER the annexation of Crimea, to defend Russia and claim it was all the EU's fault.

I did a full fact-check, with clips, here:

Obviously, Rob Newman was a problem in the 1990s. And my school had a wooden board where they inscribed the names of anyone who got more than 5 GCSEs at A to C (low bar...) and I'm on there as RAMON NEWMAND. You know, that Spanish kid with the uniquely weird surname.

A further thought on this: if I catch myself pausing on a post, and thinking about it for a moment, I often end up reposting it. Even if it's insubstantial, and even if it doesn't fit my personal brand (🤮). Because, eh, why not?
People who are stingy with their reposts are like people who never buy rounds. You don't mention it in the moment but, eventually, they stop getting invited out.

Fun fact: Paul Simon was inspired to write ‘Slip Slidin’ Away’ by the episode of ‘Some Mother's Do ’Ave ’Em’ in which Frank Spencer loses control of a pair of roller skates, which Simon saw on TV while touring the UK in 1975.

I'm going to give credit for my interest in buildings to @rowsto.bsky.social. When we were students together about 30 years ago he once said, casually: “This is an early example of Palladian architecture...” And I thought “Now, whatever the fuck that means, it's a very interesting sentence.”

A list of characters played by Elvis Presley during his movie career. Toby Kwimper is my favourite, but I also like when they give him a name that sounds like someone who worked with my dad at British Cellophane, e.g. Ted Jackson.

The self-loathing of the working class writer
I’d have been shy about calling myself a ‘working class writer’ a decade or so ago. Which is ridiculous, with hindsight – because what else am I?
