I like interpreting I Saw the TV Glow as not actually having time skips. Those are just Mr. Melocoly's framings for us as the audience watching Owen. It truth, it all takes place in real-time. We're literally seeing JUST 2 hours of Owen's life as it moves on fast-forward. How's that for devastating?
