This strikes me as a remarkably self-aware statement from the official page of the Cambria County, PA GOP—a page that overflows with MAGA propaganda. They are basically describing the epistemology of authoritarianism, only saying it’s good actually, or unavoidable?

Ireland is the only country in Western Europe that has experienced being colonised in the modern era. It was used by England as a laboratory for imperialism & was the site of bloody colonial wars for centuries, yet many people in the United Kingdom have little understanding of Ireland’s history.

Anna's hummingbirds are permanent residents along the Pacific Coast, staying through the winter when other hummingbirds are gone. This looks like an example of one being characteristically very territorial.
