With regard to these terrible Court decisions:
It is *CRITICAL* to resist the urge to give in to doomerism and declare that things not directly accomplished by the decision - removal of books from classrooms, age verification expanding to medical websites, and so on - are now the law.

My mother is watching Till. They just played the scene where Mamie sees her son's mutilated body. I remember reading about his murder back in school, seeing the pictures of what he looked like, and it having affected me for a good long while afterward.

The message isn't "you're bad." It's "respect people." The problem is you believe being a boy is having a license to say/do anything to people without repercussions. Somehow there are men all over the world who are not experiencing a "brutal" time because they don't find respect to be difficult.
It's a brutal time for young men, and to be raising one. The primary message they now is get is "YOU'RE BAD" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "Don't be a boy."
