For National Night Out, I stopped by four block parties in deep East Oakland, Grand Lake, Lakeshore, and Oak Knoll.

OakDOT issued parking tickets to hundreds of stolen cars between 2022 and 2024, according to the most recent Alameda County grand jury report. A solution may be on the horizon, but nothing will change soon.
