This also goes for phone calls by someone telling you that they are from "bank security" who tell you someone has applied for a CC in your name. They then tell you they are working with top 3 credit agencies. Call them back. Its a scam with 2 guys/2cellphones in a hotel room fishing for SS#s
If you get an email or text message that your bank account was compromised, be sure to check the validity of the message. You should be suspicious of any unexpected email message that claims to be from the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve does not contact consumers unsolicited.
