It looks like the answer is to use hashtags; if you want someone's thoughts filtered to a tag, you can do something like bsky.app/hashtags/politics?author=rocktricker.bsky.social or (conversely) mute a hashtag.

I've been dithering about how to approach Blue Sky. It's my first foray into a public forum on the internet in a very long time. I never got into Twitter - the environment was too noisy. Blue Sky doesn't seem that way.

That's a very cool synthesis of ideas. It reminds me of projects like Eye Wire and Fold It that are crowd-sourcing donations of attention for classification of difficult problems, but it sounds like here it's being used to additionally apply that classification as a training set for "Ocean Vison AI"
