Yes!
This post should pop up, Clippy-style, every time before we can click post.

“Are you hurling panicked conjecture into the void to crash into other ppl? Are you sure that’ll get you to where you yourself want to go? Just remember this:
Voicing our fears can lead us to connection and courage.

Spewing our ruminations fire hose style keeps us in our activated states that we’ve grown so accustomed to living in and richochets us off others in activated states.

What happens in our bodies when we get a little quieter?

One thing before tomorrow:

Use your local libraries.

Get your card.

Borrow books, manga, films, audios, ebooks.

Recommend titles for purchase (usually online).

Attend promoted activities.

Fill out those "How are we doing?" questionnaires.

Tell your kids that libraries are good.

They are.

Do me a kindness! Share this if you love and support your local library & librarians (and remember: that includes your school library & school librarian) 😊📚

Thank you libraries & library workers… for everything ✨💚

Anyone looking to ban a book from a school should have to prove they read it by presenting a book report to the school committee.

All of my history teachers were football or basketball coaches.
As a history teacher who is not a football coach…. There is some truth to this meme

I have always loved public libraries, but having young children has exponentially increased my gratitude and sense of indebtedness to them. Our local library is such a huge part of our lives. The books, the programming, the very intentionally curated kids’ section. It’s all such a gift.

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you.

One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order.

No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

Public libraries are the best!!
Proof your public library loves you: they leave you alone while you read, they don’t mind when you bring your kids over, and they’ll let you borrow any of their books, even the hardcovers

I can never understand why children's books get left out of "great book" lists. The books we call "children's books" are really books written for an audience that includes children, but excludes no-one. They are books for EVERYONE - and if you exclude them, you miss the most important books of all!

"...I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Ev'ry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but they're not gray anymore

… Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see"
