9 people were killed in a tornado last night in KY. The NWS office responsible for that area has faced some of the most extreme cuts by the Trump administration, including the loss of overnight forecasting.

Cognitive decline is serious enough, but this rambling senior shouldn’t be making decisions about government policy. Okay, he probably isn’t anyway, but as the figurehead for Project 2025, he’s a national disgrace on the world stage.

"A decent man" is a description that certainly fits Jimmy Carter. He was not the first President I could vote for (I was 12 in 1976) but I did compile a large scrapbook on him for a school project and grew to admire him. Not only will he be missed, but the kind of person he was will be missed too.
