For Bears fans, the real part of the season begins after week 18. We immediately begin guessing (hoping) who will get fired, which new coaches or personnel people will get hired, who will be signed in free agency, and who are they going to draft.

A lot of Bears fans think they would have made the playoffs with Jayden Daniels. If we’ve learned anything from the resurrected careers of Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, it’s that situations matter. Daniels situation is a big reason he’s blossomed. Caleb’s situation is big reason he has not.

Best case scenario for the Bears: Thomas Brown is that guy. He proves it on the field and in the building these last 5 games, and they make him the permanent head coach. I have zero confidence in Poles or Warren to conduct a search for head coach and pick the right guy.

TBH, I thought the Bears brought in Kevin Warren to build a new stadium like he did in Minnesota. Not sure he has ever hired a head coach before.
