It just hit me. This is the first year since 2002 that we did not have a kid go trick or treating. Kid2 did dress up as Ted Lasso to go to a party but no candy collected.

Kid2 had his first hockey game of the season last night. We got home at 1030 pm, I watched a bit of the Jays game then went to bed. Kid2 stayed up. Woke up to a roar from 2 floors down when the Springer HR happened. Couldn't sleep after that til it was over. So tired. 😴

Wincing as I look at Kid2's hockey and reffing schedule this week. Every night but Thursday goes to 930 pm at the earliest, with Wednesday's game ending at 11. He still can't drive solo so I have no choice but to be there too. lolsob

Today a 16yo boy is being buried in Cole Harbour after a head on collision on a motorbike. He was 5 weeks older than our Kid2 and played in our hockey association so this hits home.
