Dear protestors: using highly polluting large gas and diesel vehicles to make a point is a real choice in this day and age. Who is benefitting from your actions? What other forms might your protests take?

Nothing has quite made me feel so stupid as trying to navigate the Service Canada site. I feel like a dull-witted beast stomping around a tree trying catch its own tail. Primal scream therapy was invented for this.

A report on the CBCtv news just said that Canadians are planning to spend 1% less this Christmas “and that works out to $900 per person” and WHAT THE HELL? How much are you people throwing around out there? Who are you!???

Frozen peas are not as delicious as I remember. In fact they are kind of flavourless. Just me?

Know what my favourite is? When you miss one bus by three seconds and then the notice that the next bus is going on detour arrives right after the bus goes on detour and then you missed the second bus. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Halifax friends: what was the building /barge thing out in the water by Chinatown?

Gogos lyrics really hitting different in this new state of being laid off:

Been running so fast
Right from the starting line
No more connections
I don't need any more advice
One hand's just reaching out
And one's just hanging on
It seems my weaknesses
Just keep going strong.

Has anyone seen a report about what spurred a judge to call a poppy political (if indeed the incident— as reported so far —happened that way?) I find it beggars belief that a judge in Nova Scotia would forbid a poppy in their courtroom. I want to hear both sides. #halifax #novascotia

Dear Charm Jewellery: if I ran the world, your delightful Dylan character series of ads would sweep all the awards ever. Chef’s kiss. So well done.

Alien takeover plot:
1. Introduce fear and strife to fragment communities.
2. Reintroduce a way to connect that is technology mediated. (Own the technology)
3. Encourage dependence.
4. Throttle the genuine connection with addictive atomizing entertainment.

How come no one ever suggests a salary cap for CEOs, Presidents, GMs? 🤔

(Except us peons and who listens to us??)

I enjoy that every so often Tubi throws me a French ad, reassurance that we are all Canadian here.

Added a few extra steps into my routine this morning. Which is to say I kind of fell asleep on the bus and I went about six stops too far.

Seagulls eating what appears to be barf in the middle of Portland Street is the best meme for these last couple of weeks I’ve seen. Ha ha, weeks— I mean years.

Leaked files reveal CRA refunded millions by mistake | CBC News
More than two years after paying out $4.99 million in an allegedly bogus refund, the Canada Revenue Agency is stuck in Federal Court trying to figure out where the money went and how to get it back.

The guy who called in to CBC Maritime Connection who was making the point that releasing whales to a sanctuary would be like releasing a human kept in solitary after 40 years… yes! But I am not sure that I would come to your same conclusion i.e. it’s unfair? I think your example went off the rails.

Increasingly it seems to be very difficult for North Americans, Canadians and folks in the United States, to understand we're very far behind as the world advances on renewables and electrification, and stammering to protect Ford and GM isn't going to address that deficiency.

People were quick to clock Biden’s shambling nice-doddering-old-man routine as senility, but I guess when it shows up as deranged psychotic dismissal of rule of law/reality, it’s harder to recognize? Maybe it’s because the string-pullers behind the scenes are doing a better job than the Dems.

When are we going to intervene and take away their keys? Because folks, our neighbour is deranged, out of control, and a menace to the neighbourhood (which is the whole planet).
