long live Los Angeles
Between the fires and these protests, I hope this year teaches everyone that most of the shit talking you hear about California and more specifically, LA, comes from racists and gentrifying transplants. Most people love living here and would do anything to protect it.

If you think he's mad now, wait until he finds out the resale price for Teslas.

After being hit by a compact car, it would have cost $58k to repair our Cybertruck.

We ended up selling its remains for just $8,000.
Our Tesla Cybertruck Test Ended With a $58,000 Repair Bill
We planned to test a Tesla Cybertruck for a year and 20,000 miles. But a crash led to a massive repair bill, causing us to offload our Cybertruck several months ahead of schedule.

🧵 I live in Los Angeles. We have not had to evacuate and are safe, but like many people here, I have friends who have lost everything. I realize I can't combat the firehose (see what I did there?) of bullshit spewing about this disaster from internet and media sources, but I'll say this:

I’m really bad about promoting stuff I do, but I was on the Notablog podcast again. Podcasting was one of my favorite things about old Autoblog. Everyone should listen to James and Byron.
I got to sit in the front of a Tesla Model 3 for the first time. Not just the Highland, any Model 3. Made for an interesting Interview in a Car segment with Reese Counts who brought the @edmunds.com long termer. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/n...

Jean (Lindamood) Jennings, a true icon of automotive media, has died. I met Jean when I was just 8 years old, learned from her, worked for her, and attended countless events with her over my two decades in this business. She was a larger-than-life personality, usually topped with a fancy hat. RIP.

I’m both sad and angry about this. I was at Autoblog for 3 ½ years. Autoblog was a big reason I wanted to write about cars in the first place. The site and everyone there deserve better.
