My job is car. Former editor at Autoblog and Edmunds, current writer for many car sites. I also like Star Trek and the Toronto Blue Jays, so that’ll get sprinkled in here, too. Proudly 🇨🇦
The Lexus RZ has fake shifting tied with fake engine noise. It’s delightful.

Every time I see a photo of one of the new Mercedes CLA or GLB interiors with their wall-wall screens I just want to go into the garage, sit inside my ‘13 E350 and exhale “ahhhhh, much better.”

Gotta love when I need to check an old Autoblog story I wrote and my computer fan inevitably starts roaring, the screen is covered in ads and my virus software alerts me to "Multiple Suspicions Connections Detected."

The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go.

(Yep, this seems about right. Also, kudos to me for finding a Jurassic Park gif with a car in it)

Before you adopt a “more the marrier” approach to Christmas dinner, make sure you have sufficient chairs for the amount of more in question. This is a realization my wife and I just had. BYOC may have to be a thing. (bring your own chair)

Anyone damning the VW ID.Buzz for poor cargo capacity only ever looked at the damn cargo volume spec. The 3rd row slides, freeing up loads of cargo space while maintaining more than enough legroom for TALL adults. The dual-level floor can also be removed. Cargo is an Buzz plus, not a minus.

As if yet another WNBA name that's a non-pluralized abstract concept wasn't bad enough, this non-pluralized abstract concept shares its name with a crappy old Ford that I can't help but think about every time I read it. Multiple aunts and uncles owned Toronto Tempos and they were shit.
This morning, the WNBA's Toronto Tempo unveiled its first uniform set for 2026. The maroon and white jerseys feature six speed lines down the sides, the team name across the chest trimmed in blue, and italic numbers.

If they just paid their chief executive more, this all could’ve been avoided.

This seems so cruel to fans in Quebec. I'd be shocked if many switched their allegiance to Colorado (or at least sustained it after 30 years), so wearing Nordiques unis in MTL just seems like pointlessly reopening an old wound.

Hatchbacks usually have greater cargo volumes than comparable sedans, but I've found that the difference in terms of usable, real-world space is not as great as the numbers suggest. The Audi A6 E-Tron bucks that trend. It's as big as the numbers suggest. www.edmunds.com/car-news/aud...
