Arrived way too early in Harrogate, too early to setup or check in to where I'm staying, so I've had a cheeky Nandos with very welcoming staff looking after me.

Thought Bubble is approaching rapidly! It's a return to convention tabling realistically since 2020.

I've been long listed for the "My first graphic novel" award! Mine and all the amazing work on the long list is on display at @comicartfestival.bsky.social this weekend!

Nothing like having your entire day torpedoed by trying to sort out a scam your parents have fall neck deep into.

So I've kinda not promoted the fact that I'll have a table at Thought Bubble this year...I'll have new comics and art prints. I've definitely got back on the comic making train this year so I'm excited for it.

Got stuck in with inking this WAYFARER story I've had sitting in my mind for a long time. Birmingham and canals go hand in hand after all...

Started my stint of this year's 'Gallery Takeover in Solihull's Core Library. Already had some great conversations, sold some art prints and inked a good amount of comic panels.

I look at social media most days but only sporadically post on it. There's something of a mental block that I don't know how to get past. But I miss the creative communities I used to be part of online.

If this is accurate, WeTransfer is unusable for professional creative work. Would violate most work-for-hire contracts to share copyrighted material with a third party like this.
Bye forever, WeTransfer.

I've watched a bunch of films in the cinema recently, old and new. Thread I guess?

Maybe this is a left handed thing, because I'd do 1-3-5-2-4-1
Anyone who doesn't do 1-4-2-5-3-1 is a psychopath.

Announce yourselves, cowards!

I watched Elio! I really enjoyed it! I was also one of two people in the cinema!

Be amazing if £1.5m could be invested in the UK comics scene, wouldn’t it? Someone’d need to build a fully-costed, well-reasoned argument to DCMS for such a thing first, I guess…

I've got some new work on display in Solihull starting on Friday as part of the "Surreal Solihull" exhibition.

I've blogged about it, and some recent nature illustrations.

Thought Bubble and Harrogate was great, this however, from Ripley Castle may be the highlight.

Completed a big commission submission, now on my way to Harrogate in holiday mode til Monday 💪 looking forward to walking around Thought Bubble this weekend - but first, nature, castles and relaxation.

Hey UK comics folk, I'll be walking around Thought Bubble this year, it feels like I've been out of the comic con scene for a while, so it'll be good to see some familiar faces.

Started watching Scavenger's Reign. The first scene almost put me off the whole thing for being a bland info dump, but I'm glad I stuck it out, so many creative ideas and visual design packed into that first episode. Excited for more.
