The amount of suffering the American people (and the world) have endured - just to make a group of pathetic, privileged, fragile white Americans feel better about their bigotry, stupidity and selfishness - is astonishing. We paid the price before, we're paying it again, and it's unconscionable.

Hey all, just checking in on that health care plan that Trump said he was working on. Supposed to be way better than Obamacare, and cost less! AND will cover everyone! Great deal. He said it would be ready in two weeks, but that was eight years ago. Any word on that?
Premium increases hit home for millions amid ACA turmoil
Sticker shock could lead many Americans to conclude health coverage is out of reach.

The fact that the "White House" is spending even one millisecond of its time "reacting" to SNL should piss us all off. Secondly, the ability to laugh at yourself is a sign of 1/ Emotional intelligence 2/ Sense of humor 3/ Humility 4/ Self-awareness. Trump clearly possesses ZERO of these qualities.

Just for a moment, imagine an alt-universe in which President Kamala Harris' FCC demanded that Sean Hannity be taken off the air on Fox News. Hard to imagine, I know, because it wouldn't happen in 1,000 lifetimes, but IF IT DID. The outrage from the MAGA crowd would be deafening, and rightfully so.

You could literally kill a person by assaulting them like this. And they are doing this in our name, under our flag, to our own citizens.
They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.

Shocking to learn that the company that doesn't stand up to defend the First Amendment also doesn't care about whether its workers can make a living. Are we great yet?

Of course, at the end of the day, like most everything, it's all about the rich getting richer. Kimmel is just a casualty of the unchecked greed and hypocrisy that we accept as the norm now. Stand in the way of the wealthy getting more wealthy and you'll just be swept aside, Constitution be damned.
IMPORTANT PERSPECTIVE: What I have not seen anyone discussing is that Nexstar pulling Kimmel, forcing ABC’s hand, comes as Nexstar is leading the way for the industry on trying to get FCC approval for media consolidation. www.poynter.org/business-wor...

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

50 years ago people thought Nixon/Watergate was as bad as it could get, and his own party was moving toward impeachment. But that was pocket change compared to this billion-dollar horror show, and the bootlicking GOP toadies are just happy to be along for the ride with no end in sight.
That was one of the most batshit press conferences of Trump's public life. He brandished a photo of Putin and promised to deploy the US military to occupy Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. A sane country would be moving toward impeachment and removal right now.

90 years ago today, FDR signed Social Security into law. It was part of the new and desperately needed safety net for vulnerable Americans. Before that day, older workers toiled until they died, lived in poverty, or were forced to live with family as they aged. MAGA would return us to those days.
