I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

The National Endowment for the Arts withdrew and canceled grant offers to numerous arts organizations around the country on Friday night, sending a round of email notifications out just hours after President Trump proposed eliminating the agency in his next budget.

Maybe this is worrying.
CDC reports 216 child deaths this flu season, the most in 15 years. Experts say the decline in vaccinations is certainly playing a role in this season's loss of life. More US children have died this flu season than at any time since the 2010 swine flu pandemic👇

Just to be clear… US border officials police the border inbound to the USA. So?
Reporter: Less than 1% of all fentanyl that comes into the U.S. Is apprehended at the Canadian border. So why use fentanyl as a reason?

Trump: They should be apprehending much more. They're only apprehending 1%.

Excellent meeting with @melaniejoly.bsky.social today.

The EU-Canada partnership is strong, dynamic, and built to last.

Together, we discussed ways to boost our support to Ukraine, increase pressure on Russia, as well as opportunities to strengthen our security and defence cooperation.

Space efforts by governments should never be privatised to the degree they have.
Cutting NASA's workforce by about 10 percent. That's a boost to the Chinese and Russians. And the guy in charge of SpaceX made this decision? That's a total conflict of interest. Moreover, firing all probationary employees shows they're not serious about evaluating programs. It's a machine gun.

Seems like important context.
Fact check: nearly 70 percent of US money for Ukraine actually went to US defense industry to replenish the stocks of OLD stuff that went to Ukraine to use.

Much of which we would have paid to destroy as their lifespan expired.
