The sentient biotic world is characterised by much pain, grief and death and for no purpose whatsoever so there is a perverse but legitimate morality in calling for an end to it all. In fact it is repugnant not to enlist the aid of a kindly vet to end the suffering of this old dog called Earth.

No, it didn't start in the SE. & no, you didn't state facts. Going all the way back to the US founding, there's ton of racism in all parts, esp. considering racism against Indigenous people. It's a fallacy white people tell themselves that racism is a "South" problem to get out of their own racism.

Plants are foundation of life for us. Top soil is disappearing ( 50% in the last 100 years )
And suffering from saltification in vast areas of the planet or sterility in the remainder. And we need more. Always more with our species. We are super, superficial.

Greed is what killed us. Panic will wipe the last vestiges of civilization from us.
Anything we do will be palliative care at best. What any of us think about our situation is irrelevant. The momentum is sufficient at this point to quickly move the atmosphere beyond most plants' survival range. 1/2

More climate trivia -- here is a graph showing the single hottest day of each year, 1940 - 2024.

The only two years breaking 17.0°C are 2023 and 2024, with 2024 the hottest of them all. There appears to be a trend.

aye, right fucking able to object;

The domination and suppression of women by men is the central problem of civilization. It's the same supremacist mindset that drives exploitation of the natural world and subjugation of native peoples. Fascism is centered on the subordination of women, so defense of women is our most important work.

It’s not hard to collect enough information to conclude we are headed for planetary collapse. A little politics, a little paleoclimatology, a little satellite imagery; boom, it’s obvious! Then: grief, acceptance, and commitment to kindness as a way of life. It’s amazing what you find, over the hill!

Leopards, faces, etc. I got no sympathy. They couldn't save the people they wanted to save; they just damned a lot of other people, and they were told this would happen and it did. How do you pity people who just made life worse for everyone around them on purpose?
FFS. He said he would deport Palestinian sympathizers during nearly every rally. He met with Netanyahu at Mar-a-lago back in July. How can the community have been played when he routinely said hateful, oppressive things about it -- never anything supportive?
"'Obviously we're still waiting to see where the administration will go, but it does look like our community has been played...'

"'We are very disappointed,' he said..."
