Actually this kinda ties into my gripes with the new pokemiku N song cause the imagery is great and as a Hero of Truth N bias I like it fixating more on truth than ideals, but it's very "N was wrong and learned that he'd been lied to" without addressing that he was also right about some things

This literally drove me so fucking crazy as a kid cause like. It's an interesting topic but one that pokemon fundamentally can't meaningfully engage in if they're not willing to do things that may affect their brand
i love black and white because it was the only time they tried doing a story with some semblance of nuance in its themes but the resolution was "pokemon like it actually and the one guy who said otherwise was EVIL and was doing it for EVIL reasons now let's never speak of this again"
