this is why “just log off” isn’t a magic bullet for this stuff. people’s options shouldn’t be to face abuse or leave.

over the years there have been a lot of debates over fujoshis and whether they are good or bad and even tho there are some of the most classically homophobic and fetishizing fujoshis out there i still think slinging that word as a pejorative leads to some really nasty places

i think that people have lost the ability to “yes, and” stories. i don’t see it so much here but i got harassed like crazy for pointing out things other “less villainous” arcane characters have done because they want to endlessly litigate things silco has done when their own faves are war criminals

politically speaking they are the most interesting arcane characters to me. woman who has known nothing but war just wants peace and favors diplomacy. man who has known nothing but suffering under "peace" and must resort to war. they may gain a grudging respect for the other but never see eye to eye
i just watched that recent short on what stories from arcane were left on the cutting room floor and as much as i appreciate that they didn't keep mel being the one to hold meetings in bathhouses i'm like [kicks rock] i wish mel and silco had interacted.......................
