I've got some amazing friends in the States. But given I'm trans-adjacent and a raging lefty I'm not welcome there on principle.
My final trip to the US has been bittersweet. In many ways the time I spent with my friends (old & new) was the best I've ever had. But the country is also simply no longer safe for me to visit thinking as I think, acting as I act, & existing as I am.
