Are these pre-sale events at the O2 Arena a scam? Widely advertised, join waiting room, enter 5 mins after launch, just a few single seats being offered. A few mins later, a notice to say they’ve all gone. 🤷‍♂️ #Raye #TradingStandards

Stuck in gridlocked traffic southbound on A102 in Greenwich holding up our SL4 bus. Ambulance on blue lights stuck on two lane slip road unable to move. No cycle lanes to blame this time. Just too many cars. @murkydepths.bsky.social

First time I’ve seen this - restaurant in Margate offering 10% discount for cash payment. Their Thai food was great, paid in cash and paid their 10% discount as a tip 🙂 #cashisking

Some motorists are so arrogant. M2 closed westbound, sat in gridlocked traffic. Emergency services blue lighting it down hard shoulder to get to scene of collision. Increasing number of drivers deciding their time is too precious and driving down hard shoulder. 😡 Hoping Kent Police issue tickets.

When did drive through coffee shops become a thing, this one in Kent? Failure of planning policy, bad for health and not even good coffee. Around the corner we walked past long queue of drivers waiting to use a car wash. Is it coffee while waiting to wash car, or need clean car to get coffee? 🤷‍♂️

Very pleasant jumping on the air conditioned electric SL4 bus for a free trip from Blackheath Standard to Canary Wharf 🙂

Seems my prediction was right. There was a higher turnout, Labour did lose the seat and Greenwich Council has its first ever Green councillor!

The Green Party has its first ever councillor in Greenwich after Tamasin Rhymes won the Shooters Hill by-election.

The result is the biggest upset in Greenwich politics for a generation and follows a row over the Labour council's land sales in the ward.

Hi @royalgreenwich.bsky.social - will you ever start posting on here, or are you staying on toxic Twitter that many of us left?

Having read this article as someone who belongs to no political party, I’m expecting a higher than usual turnout at the Shooters Hill ward by election and Labour losing the seat. Either way, it’s a case study in how not to run an election campaign www.shrewsburyhouse.org/news/28-mere...

My late dad’s Strelitzia (bird of paradise) in flower after moving to our sunny garden in SE London. It seems to like its new home. I think he’d be pleased.

Thoughts and prayers with everyone in Liverpool tonight, and thanks to the bravery of all our emergency services, NHS and members of the public who stepped in to help. Time for calm. 🙏

Our garden in SE London is so full of life since we added a pond, planted a mixed native hedge and banned all use of chemicals. Latest arrival - a broad bodied chaser dragonfly 🙂

Perhaps a good opportunity to elect a Green Party councillor for Greenwich, given how badly this labour cllr was treated after standing up for local residents, leading to her resignation? @greenwichgreens.bsky.social

Interesting thread on the journey to net zero.

No one is forcing me to consider installing solar panels on our roof. I want to do it as it makes environmental and economic sense. Energy generated and used at source. Simple.

Tony Blair Institute have released a report which is getting a lot of coverage in UK today

It says the drive for net zero emissions is flawed and some media outlets have gone to town

However it’s a bit odd

By odd, I mean there’s a lot of bollocks in it and shouldn't be taken seriously 🧵🧵

Hi @eastcombetraffic.bsky.social - do you still have access to traffic data post opening of Silvertown Tunnel? Whilst it’s too soon to draw any conclusions, my sense is there’s less traffic leaving A102 at Sun in the Sands and heading via ODR then Charlton looking for a quicker route.
