Are these pre-sale events at the O2 Arena a scam? Widely advertised, join waiting room, enter 5 mins after launch, just a few single seats being offered. A few mins later, a notice to say they’ve all gone. 🤷‍♂️ #Raye #TradingStandards

Stuck in gridlocked traffic southbound on A102 in Greenwich holding up our SL4 bus. Ambulance on blue lights stuck on two lane slip road unable to move. No cycle lanes to blame this time. Just too many cars. @murkydepths.bsky.social

First time I’ve seen this - restaurant in Margate offering 10% discount for cash payment. Their Thai food was great, paid in cash and paid their 10% discount as a tip 🙂 #cashisking

When did drive through coffee shops become a thing, this one in Kent? Failure of planning policy, bad for health and not even good coffee. Around the corner we walked past long queue of drivers waiting to use a car wash. Is it coffee while waiting to wash car, or need clean car to get coffee? 🤷‍♂️

Enjoyed reading your post on LinkedIn. Our ASHP installation started today after much research and planning. Will be open loop, 35oC design temp, weather compensation and all new emitters (UFH & rads). Hoping we’ve got the design right!

Very pleasant jumping on the air conditioned electric SL4 bus for a free trip from Blackheath Standard to Canary Wharf 🙂

Rather spend time planning our eco retrofit. Our gas meter was removed about 10 days ago 🙂

My late dad’s Strelitzia (bird of paradise) in flower after moving to our sunny garden in SE London. It seems to like its new home. I think he’d be pleased.

Our garden in SE London is so full of life since we added a pond, planted a mixed native hedge and banned all use of chemicals. Latest arrival - a broad bodied chaser dragonfly 🙂

I’ve heard hawthorne can take 20 years to flower. Not ours. First flowers have appeared after 2 years. 🙂

Mixed native hedge planted at bottom of garden two years ago. Bird cherry now in full bloom with strong scent and great for bees!
April 15, 2025 at 7:57 PM
We’ve also got bees visiting blackthorn flowers and buds appearing on the hawthorn for first time - and it’s only year 2!

There are no traffic restrictions on Old Dover Road. This is a restriction on turning into Langton Way from ODR (and visa versa) at certain times. Signage is gradually being improved
March 31, 2025 at 11:08 AM
Much improved signage about modal filter for eastbound traffic on Old Dover Road. Still no matching signage for westbound traffic. Has Greenwich Council forgotten? They don’t respond to emails on this topic, so difficult to know 🤔
March 25, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Across Greenwich improved road signage is continuing to appear to highlight new peak time motor traffic restrictions. It’s far superior to the original signage and difficult to miss.
March 22, 2025 at 1:34 PM
New improved signage starting to appear across Westcombe Park, Greenwich warning about the restriction on through traffic. Makes it much quicker, more convenient and safer or walk or cycle up and down the hill to the shops / Uni / schools.

What difference a week can make. Zebra crossing at Blackheath Standard had almost worn away and vehicles were failing to stop. Logged issue on FixMyStreet App. Revisited today and found the crossing had been repainted. Thanks @royalgreenwich.bsky.social 🙂

Blackthorn flowers heralding the arrival of Spring on our mixed native hedge planted almost exactly two years ago. 🙂

That moment when you realise a contractor employed by Greenwich Council is driving down the pavement towards you at speed spraying glyphosate into the air…. 😡
March 4, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Greenwich Council really need to up their game on active travel. If there isn’t anywhere to put this sign without inconveniencing thousands of pedestrians every day, motorists need to cope without it.
February 8, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Greenwich traffic 8.50am this morning, modal filters operating since 7am. Junction showing less congestion as hundreds of vehicles no longer emptying into Trafalgar Road from Vanbrugh Hill & Maze Hill. Just a snapshot
February 6, 2025 at 9:50 AM
Once again this morning, sav navs that were diverting drivers through Westcombe Park are diverting drivers through Charlton. Neither area should suffer in this way. If we extend modal filters to Charlton, traffic will remain queuing on A102 as no quicker route.
February 4, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Greenwich traffic 9.15am today, modal filters operating since 7am. Sav nav advising motorists to turn off A102 and travel 1.3 miles via Charlton before rejoining A102 to save 7 minutes. Modal filters in Charlton would stop this. Just a snapshot.
February 4, 2025 at 9:21 AM
Greenwich traffic 9am this morning, modal filters operating since 7am. Good example of how the lack of tailbacks approaching Blackwall Tunnel considerably reduces congestion across the whole area. Just a snapshot.
January 29, 2025 at 9:05 AM
It seems we’re being impacted by yet another collision causing severe delays at Dartford Crossing with drivers diverting to Blackwall Tunnel. Modal filters are protecting Woolwich Rd west of A102. Implementing similar measures east of A102 could also protect Charlton.
